Dear Dawgs,
Advisory is just too fun! I want it every day! I get so much work done, I love spending an hour each day in a random classroom, it’s the highlight of my day. All I can think about is having longer advisory and Wednesday advisory. How can I help my addiction?
Sincerely,
Advisory Addict
Dear Advisory Addict,
Everyone is definitely in a similar boat right now, you’re not alone. GTV blaring and a strangely empty and silent classroom is an almost irresistible scene. The way we see it you can go one of two ways. First, you could quit advisory all together, go cold turkey. Instead of going to that random teachers room after fifth period, maybe do a Garfield High School bathroom tour or check out the basement or rooftop pool, get to know the building that you’re spending four years in on a deeper level. Second, you can go in the direction of getting more advisory-type fun. Turn every class you have into advisory! You might have to rewatch a few GTV’s and dig into the archive but really, who could get tired of those fit checks and top tier audio quality? While having GTV top volume on your computer, feel so free to pull out any work that has nothing to do with the class you’re currently in or an art project from home and work on that. If your teachers have an issue with it just let them know what you’re going through. We have no doubt that they’ll understand completely.
Good luck,
Dawgs
Dear Dawgs,
In 2021 I added fake freckles to my daily makeup routine. I loved them up until about a month ago, but now I think I want to stop wearing them. The problem is everyone around me loves my “real” freckles and I don’t have the heart to break the news to them. I want to be true to myself but do I even deserve that after lying to everyone around me for four years? Help!
Freckle Faker
Dear Freckle Faker,
No one likes a fraud. However, if you made it this long and convinced everyone the freckles were real maybe you can convince them they were never there. Stop wearing the freckles and when people ask where they’ve gone just say you never had them. Deny, deny, deny. Wipe any evidence of the faux freckles from the internet and maybe tell the truth to a few safe and trustworthy people who will lie to everyone else with you to make it more believable.
Sincerely,
Dawgs
