Whether you’re punting, passing, putting, or pulling, every sport lends itself to a different dynamic motion. “Look good, feel good, play good” proves not to be just an expression, the perfect hairstyle can lead to an even better performance. It may be true that a hairstyle won’t take you from zero to a hundred, and the real secret to success is constant dedication. However, the secret to intimidation is the perfect slick back into a braid longer than your play time.
Soccer: Ponytail with pre-wrap
For each soccer player, “goals” have different definitions. For some, it is the net at the end of each field. For others, it’s how tight they can get their ponytail without their hairline receding. This interchangeable hairstyle can elevate any hair type, length, or curl pattern.
Some may score the team points, but other players are better purely for aesthetic purposes, and the classic ponytail with pre-wrap is sure to daunt the opposing team.
Hockey: Mullet
As the “modern mullet” is further popularized, the concept becomes increasingly insulting. To consider a mullet to be anything but “business in the front, party in the back” is false. Hockey players have been sporting the style since the early 80’s, before the NARP’s ever got the chance to appropriate the classic mullet. No matter the number of slap shots or power plays, the mullet, even beneath a helmet, will forever steal the show on and off the ice.
Track: Knotless braids
Whether you’re sprinting the 100m or trudging your way through the 3200m, knotless braids are sure to gain you free speed. Although the main appeal of the braids is hair protection, your competition is sure to know they are not as safe. So when it’s time to line up on the starting block and your competition is flaunting their 52 inch braids, my advice is to quit while you’re ahead.
Softball: Bubbles
It’s a common misconception that bats and balls are all you need to play softball, but amongst real players, the bubble braid is considered THE most important part of the game. While running the bases, the defenders will be left in awe as they see a perfect bubble braid rounding third. Their power is endless, some say it’s the aerodynamics of its helix like shape, some chalk it up to luck, but the power of the bubble is undeniable.
