Rant:

I think group projects can either be a hit or miss. They can be really fun to do, or a total nightmare if you have people who slack off. Because of that, I prefer to do things myself so I won’t have to depend on anyone else to get a good grade.

Rave:

I think group projects often get a bad reputation. I get it, people aren’t reliable and they don’t always do their part. But group projects provide so many opportunities to practice helpful skills for the future. For one, they teach collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution, which we all know are some of the more useful things that we learn in life. I love learning how to deal with really difficult people so that I’m prepared for the storm of idiocy I’ll encounter later on.
